The "Working Poor", a growing population For many Americans wages are simply not enough to cover the increased cost of living, and food has become an unaffordable luxury. The "working poor" are our fastest growing population. We believe that food security enables family and individual growth and development. Helping is a hand up, not a hand out. News
05-20-2008 Wish List Look under News and Events to see our "Top Ten Most Needed Food Item" list. The Food Bank provides more food for our community when essential professional services and products are donated. We have an on-going need for warehouse lighting, warehouse pallet racking and shelving, vehicle services, and warehouse/office furniture and equipment. The Food Bank can arrange volunteers and trucks to tear down and pickup warehouse racking and shelving that you would like to donate. Please call us at (318) 675-2400.
